Support SMUM

Santa Maria provides:

  • Food for 1800, people a month one half of which are children
  • Clothing for an average of 350 people each month through the Community Closet Program
  • After school programs for young people at risk – a Christ-like alternative to gang membership
  • Classes in ESL (English as a second language) are offered
  • ABC Playtime for children ages 3-5 provides a much needed respite for overburdened parents
  • Back to school supplies for 800 children each September
  • Gifts at Christmas for 850 children who are the poorest of the poor
  • Blankets, socks and sleeping bags are stocked for the homeless in the area
  • VITA offers free income tax assistance by trained IRS volunteers

Individual Donations

We welcome your cash donations in the form of a check made out to and mailed to Santa Maria Urban Ministry or a donation made via your church.   Unfortunately, it is not cost-efficient at this time to accept donations via credit-card.  Donations to SMUM are tax-deductible.
