Do you love little kids? Do you have a couple hours a week to serve?
Then please come find out about ABC PLAYTIME, the SMUM program for pre-schoolers. This no-fee program offers preschoolers a chance to prepare for Kindergarten, socialize and have lots of fun! We are hoping to meet both prospective students (ages 3-5) and prospective volunteers at our Open House on April 9th, 2011. Please join us for snacks and learn about one of SMUM’s greatest programs!

Volunteer Sees a Need and Fills It
Volunteers make services at Santa Maria (SMUM) possible and useful, and an excellent example is Larry Bursch, who started as a volunteer in 1999, buying supplies for the nurse running a clinic we operated at that time. A great bargain hunter, Larry has identified good buys for various supplies since then and began working at the reception desk in 2003. He continues to be the smiling face that clients see each Wednesday morning.
